SSIReN launches…
The Social Science and Intelligence Research Network is a national body of together scholars concerned in national security research from across the social sciences and affiliated disciplines in Australia. The network welcomes scholars from all career stages, from Masters and PhD, to early/mid-career scholars and professors. The network represents scholars from more than 30 Australian universities across the commonwealth.
Our aims:
The purpose of the network is to support and grow the research on national security that is under way in Australian universities and to enhance its uptake with the national intelligence community. To do so the network will: (i) facilitate closer understanding between the National Intelligence Community and academia of research imperatives and research knowledge; (ii) promote research collaboration across institutions, disciplines, and between government and researchers; (iii) and provide opportunities for early-career scholars to develop their research and careers.
